Well, that's the last episode of Colonel Crush 3, ultimately I think our best Crush yet. Hopefully you watched through to the end and saw that the next film will be called Colonel Crush 4: from Russia with ACTION! Which has actually already been filmed, but no editing has been done as I write this. You can expect a trailer in about six weeks and the first episode a month after that. I know it's a long wait, but I promise we'll keep you entertained with Microfilms until then.

Interesting story about this webisode, pretty much all the fight scene footage is speed up at least 10% to make the fights more intense and hide the fact that punches are pulled. Also anytime Matt swings that sword around the velocity is increased A LOT because that thing is really heavy. And Matt couldn't lift a candy bar in real life.

Best blooper ever: Matt hitting himself in the face.

My favorite Colonel Crush moment probably ever has to be watching him ride a rocket launcher by simply covering the rocket's exit with his hand. This idea went though a number of phases, the first being Colonel Crush punching a little girl riding by on her bike, removing the rocket from the launcher, holding it under his arming and using it to make a rocket bike. That idea was abandoned when we realized that Michael was too tall--taller than Matt--to play the little girl.

By the way, for anyone who thought the chase scene was all real--got ya! We used a green screen! Did I surprise anyone? No one? Hello? C'mon, it looks pretty real!

Webisode 4 was fun to score! I used a new string library for the job. You can hear the new strings most exposed during Roxie Redcoat's, er, dramatic moment.

This Webisode has the most drama per frame so far, so it was a good challenge to put it all together.

And what do people think? I chose not to put any music under the confusion between Pow! and his terrorists. Lots of movies have long scenes without music, but Colonel Crush is usually so wall-to-wall that Crush without music seems a bit naked. Does it work for you?

Oh, and you should have heard how bad the dialog recording sounded! We had a grounding problem that caused a HUGE buzz in some of the dialog in the scene. Nathan did an amazing job canceling it out.

Way to go, Nate!

Here's a bit of fun... Try to figure out which car chase bits were shot on the road, and which were chromakeyed. Hint: not everybody that fell out of the van died...

I promised to spill the beans on Webisode 2, so here goes...

1) What does the women's choir sing during the Hail Britannia theme?

"Hail Britannia, the crazy Brits live there!"

2) What is the sound that we used after Victor has been cloned, and the steam is still rising from his body?

That is the sound of bacon cooking. Next time you see Matt, say "I smell bacon!" Or you could just sing "Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport."

Oops. It's taking longer to render than expected. Make it 3am...

But the script now includes Webisode 3. Read ahead, if you must!

Well, well, well... I finally finished the music and the audio mix a few minutes ago, so we'll be a couple of hours late getting Webisode 3 online.

I'll tell ya what. Writing car chase scenes is a lot harder than a simple underscore! Especially if you want to punctuate the peril, heroism and stuff like that.

I hope you like it! We hope to have it up by 2am PST...

Here's another bit of Trivia:
On Pow's Cloning Device Computer the text reads:
> Reprogram
> Delete Arthur DNA
> Calibrate for Victor
........Estimating Ribosome
......inflating Ego....
........emptying processors
.....playing chess....
.........distracting monkeys...
.......preparing digital image
...canceling other stuff
.........disengaging engagers
...simulating possibilities
.............COMPLETE...........

And now you know. Also, when we filmed the scene with Crush and Motors, we did the stuff with Crush first, planning to shoot Andy's scenes later. But... then Andy had to return to college sooner than we thought and couldn't make it for filming. So we shot the scenes with Dan as General Motors, and just used the existing footage of Crush and tailored the lines.

Hey! Webisode 2 is up!

Okay, here are two Colonel Crush trivia questions for this 'sode:

1) What does the women's choir sing during the Hail Britannia theme?

2) What is the sound that we used after Victor has been cloned, and the steam is still rising from his body?

Can't figure it out? Come back next week and I'll spill the beans!

Thanks G-Man! I've been humming the Olde England theme all day. Expect to hear the theme again as Pow! carries out his nefarious plot!
